✨ Join NanoXplore, a deep-tech semiconductor leader, and contribute directly to Europe’s technological sovereignty ✨
Ready to make an impact?
Join us as a SENIOR SOC & FPGA ARCHITECT (w/m)
At NanoXplore, we are building advanced SoC and FPGA technologies that power some of Europe's most strategic programs in Space, Defense, Avionics and Critical Infrastructure.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and highly driven Senior SoC & FPGA Architect to help define NanoXplore’s next generations of Soc & FPGA platforms. Working at the intersection of system architecture, silicon design and product strategy, you will drive key technology decisions and contribute to products supporting some of Europe’s most demanding programs. Your Mission You will define the architecture and technical roadmap of NanoXplore's next-generation SoC and FPGA platforms, driving design decisions across processing, programmable logic, memory, connectivity, security and high-speed I/O subsystems. You will translate market, customer and product requirements into scalable semiconductor solutions. In close collaboration with FPGA, ASIC, software, verification, validation and product teams, you will evaluate complex performance, power, area, reliability and cost trade-offs, support silicon validation activities, while contributing to the development of our next innovative products.
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to FPGA fabric evolution and platform-level innovation.
• Lead architecture studies, feasibility analyses and performance modelling activities.
• Participate in strategic customer discussions and technical reviews.
• Support silicon bring-up, validation activities and architecture-related investigations.
• Mentor engineers and promote architectural best practices across engineering teams. Technical Challenges You will tackle some of the most demanding architectural challenges in the semiconductor industry:
• Next-generation SoC and FPGA architectures
• Integration of embedded processing subsystems
• High-speed communication interfaces and memory subsystems
• Secure computing and trusted architectures
• Performance, power and area optimization
• Scalable architectures across multiple product generations
• Long-life, mission-critical and Space/Defense-grade platforms Qualifications
• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, Embedded Systems or equivalent;
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor FPGA, ASIC or SoC architecture.
• Proven track record of defining and delivering complex silicon products from concept to production. Required Skills
• Proven track record defining and delivering complex SoC, FPGA or ASIC architectures from concept through silicon realization;
• Strong knowledge of processor-based architectures, embedded systems and heterogeneous computing platforms;
• Deep understanding of FPGA technologies and programmable logic architectures;
• Experience with AMBA protocols, interconnect architectures, NoC designs and memory subsystems;
• Strong knowledge of DDR memories, cache architectures and data movement optimization;
• Experience with high-speed connectivity technologies such as PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes and other high-speed interfaces;
• Practical understanding of hardware/software co-design methodologies;
• Strong analytical and system-level architectural trade-offs;
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills;
• Strong technical leadership with a clear ownership mindset and accountability for deliverables;
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams, to influence and align multidisciplinary engineering teams (English required);
• Experience in Space, Aerospace, Defense and other safety-critical environments is a strong plus;
