OverviewWe are looking for a Secure Firmware Engineer based in Sophia Antipolis, France, to work on low-level security software for next-generation embedded processors. In this role, you will design and develop secure ROM and firmware running on dedicated hardware security subsystems. Working in a bare-metal C environment across ARM and RISC-V architectures, you will implement hardware security features, key management protocols, and cutting-edge Post-Quantum Cryptography (ML-DSA), as well as optimize secure boot pathways (such as S400 ROM fast boot). Responsibilities
• Design, code, and test bare-metal C firmware and secure ROM modules running inside dedicated hardware security domains;
• Develop secure boot mechanisms, including primary delivery for S400 ROM fast boot initialization and optimization;
• Implement and integrate classic and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms (AES, RSA, ECDSA, ML-DSA);
• Manage digital certificates, secure key lifecycle, and root-of-trust security features across ARM and RISC-V architectures;
• Write Python automation scripts and manage CI/CD build environments using GCC toolchains and Bamboo under Linux. Requirements
• Embedded Software: Strong proficiency in bare-metal C programming for low-level embedded systems;
• Architectures: Solid experience working with ARM and/or RISC-V processor architectures;
• Cryptography & PKI: In-depth knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography (AES, RSA, ECDSA), Post-Quantum Cryptography (ML-DSA), digital certificates, and key management concepts;
• Tools & Environment: Hands-on experience with GCC cross-compilation toolchains, Linux, Python scripting, and Git;
• CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration pipelines (e.g., Bamboo). Nice to Have
• Experience with secure subsystem architectures or dedicated hardware security modules (HSM / secure enclaves);
• Familiarity with hardware/software co-design, low-level hardware debugging, and secure boot implementations;
• Knowledge of side-channel attack countermeasures and secure coding guidelines.

What We Offer
• Opportunities to grow through involvement in complex international projects;
• Exposure to advanced embedded software technologies;
• A collaborative engineering environment with knowledge-sharing initiatives and technical communities. Ready to embed yourself in the future?
