Industrial Site Director

PLEASE SUBMIT RESUME IN ENGLISH Samson, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking an Industrial Site Director for its plant in Ernée, Pays de la Loire, France. The Industrial Site Director participates in defining the site's industrial operations strategy and is responsible for its implementation. The position is responsible for managing site budget, productivity and financial performance, staff safety, engagement, and working conditions. Position manages both economic and social resources and is responsible for fostering an effective work environment. Job Duties: Manages the site operations by implementing policy and directives, collaborating closely with senior leadership of Samson to define strategic initiatives and objectives. Collaborates with international headquarters and works cross functionally in a matrix organization. Manages and represents company to key external stakeholders (suppliers, subcontractors, local and national government authorities, key customers, etc.). Organizes and manages human, financial, and technical resources. Manages business performance and optimization by managing key performance indicators of productivity and identifying profitability levers (production capacity, optimization of resources). Manages site investment projects by drafting specifications, sourcing suppliers, and supervising project implementation. Completes and submits key financial operations reports to management. Ensures the entire production chain runs smoothly: scheduling, supply, manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, quality. Ensures the proper application of the company’s QEHS (Quality, Environment, Health and Safety) and traceability policy, supporting and guiding the team on the continuous improvement approach and its application. Monitors the evolution of standards and regulations in terms of quality and safety. Manages and develops the team’s skills by owning and managing human resources within scope (mentoring, recruitment, performance, training, etc.). Adopts a managerial model that promotes support for change, innovation, and the development of team skills. Promotes a flexible workplace culture and the ability to expand skill sets. Promotes a QEHS-oriented work culture. Contributes to team cohesion and eases communication and professional relations between departments. Manages and embodies the company’s values on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

Education:
BA / BS in Engineering

Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of management experience in a mid to large-sized industrial manufacturer in an international landscape. Experience with lean manufacturing processes desired. Language: Ability to fluently speak English and French. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to build relationships at all levels in the organization as required by the position and to work well with a diverse group of individuals. Ability to provide leadership, build teams, manage and develop staff at all levels. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, have a strong attention to detail, and present information in a concise and effective way, including both internal and external public speaking. Ability to champion and drive change. Ability to anticipate risks and manage crisis situations. Support change and skills development, with a sensitivity to HR subjects. Knowledge and understanding of local and national labor laws and safety regulations; possess a strong personal commitment to safety. Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs. Analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to master the fundamentals of financial analysis and investment optimization. Creative problem solving, with the ability to recommend and implement solutions. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Salary:
€90,000
