Huawei France Research Centers are responsible for advanced research in the fields of network design, applied mathematics, machine learning, and parallel computing to create and design the innovative technologies and software platforms for our Brand. Founded in 2010, Shield Lab leads the research of cryptography and security in Huawei France Research Centers. We identify key security problems that challenge traditional security fundamentals in emerging ICT applications, such as 5G/6G mobile networks, cloud computing and mobile internet services as well as for new Agentic AI network and application scenarios. We conduct leading-edge research projects, and deliver innovative outputs in the area of cryptography and security that help our corporation to establish competitiveness in enterprise, consumer and operator markets. Position Summary: We are expanding the team by recruiting a talented, highly motivated researcher in AI, cybersecurity and standardization. Candidates should have solid knowledge in AI/AI Agents, security protocols, trust mechanisms and attestation protocols, a passion in researching problems with real-world potential and impact, and good experience for standardizing security protocols in international bodies (IETF, ISO, ETSI, ITU-T, IEEE, 3GPP, TCG). Responsibilities:
• Formulate research problems based on real-world security requirements and independently conduct high-quality research.
• Design and develop prototypes; deliver research results and provide competitive solutions.
• Standardize security protocols and trust mechanisms at international bodies.
• Collaborate with colleagues for standardization activities.
• Participate and standardize related technologies in security and trust for AI Agent at various international bodies, including IETF, ISO, ETSI, ITU-T, IEEE, 3GPP, TCG.
• Prepare standardization documents
• Write code.
• Participate in collaborations with industrial and academic partners.
• Publish related papers in top conferences/journal/White papers and/or apply high quality patents. Desired Skills & Experience
• Hold M.
Sc or Ph.
D. degree in Mathematics, Cryptography, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Have one or more years of work experience in areas related to network or system security, applied cryptography, confidential computing, trusted computing.
• Have one or more years of work experience in areas related to AI Agent security (authorization, authentication, discovery), Remote attestation and privacy-preserving communication protocols.
• Standardization experience in international bodies, like IETF, ISO, ETSI, ITU-T, IEEE, 3GPP, TCG.
• Strong systems background: C/Rust/Go/C++/Python, TEE (SGX/SEV/TDX), attestation, PKI, TLS.
• Good understanding of LLM agent architecture, MCP, A2A.
