Chain of Events is a pioneering event organization company creating world-class, large-scale conferences at the intersection of blockchain, AI, and emerging technologies. We are the force behind:
- Signal Week (former Paris Blockchain Week)
- Europe’s largest digital asset event
- RAISE Summit

- MACHINA
- Europe's leading physical AI event Our events bring together global leaders, innovators, investors, and regulators to spark dialogue and action in transformative industries. We’re looking for a Finance Operations Intern to join our team and help us build scalable financial processes. In this role, you’ll split your time between day-to-day financial support tasks and hands-on projects to streamline our systems. You’ll be directly involved in testing, configuring, and implementing new tools to optimize our financial workflows. If you enjoy problem-solving, structured organization, and exploring new management software, we’d love to meet you
Key Responsibilities
(Highly "Hands-on") You will be at the heart of the business operations. Your mission is to ensure the administrative and financial fluidity of the structure. You will work directly with and report to the person managing Finance operations — a small, hands-on setup where you'll have real ownership and exposure to the full financial cycle from day one, rather than being one of many interns lost in a large team. Financial & Accounting Management:
- Manage and track the daily billing cycle (Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable).
- Act as the main point of contact for our accounting firm via Pennylane (uploading, organizing, and reconciling documents).
- Track and follow up on vendor/supplier registrations on client procurement platforms, to ensure invoices can be processed and paid without delay.
- Maintain and update internal financial dashboards. Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Sales and Customer Success (CS) teams — picking up signed contracts and invoicing briefs, and coordinating on billing questions.
- Cash-Flow & Relationship Management:
- Assist in debt collection, including active follow-ups and payment tracking.
- Support & Project Management:
- Handle general administrative tasks (contracts, legal filings).
- Identify and implement process improvements/tools to increase internal efficiency. Candidate Profile We are looking for a proactive partner, not just an executor.
Education:
Specializing in Accounting, Finance, or Business Admin. Technical
Skills:
Comfortable with numbers and management tools (Knowledge of Pennylane or similar ERP is a significant plus). Languages: Fluent English is mandatory (international work environment); a good level of French is also required, as the role involves day-to-day interactions with French tax rules and a French accounting firm. Mindset:
- Problem-solver: You don't bring problems; you bring solutions.
- Detail-oriented: You handle invoices and follow-ups with extreme precision.
- Autonomous: You thrive in a high-pressure, fast-growing startup environment.
What We Offer
- Gain hands-on experience in finance operations and tool implementation.
- Practical experience with modern financial management software and process automation, learning how to streamline daily business operations.
- You’ll be embedded within a supportive team that values pragmatic problem-solving, providing you with real-time feedback and direct operational mentorship.
- 6-month paid internship with benefits (lunch vouchers & 100% transport reimbursment).
- Chance to work in a diverse and multicultural team.
