Job description
Network Security Engineer (FortiGate / Check Point) & F5 Load Balancing Specialist – Strasbourg
Location Strasbourg, France – hybrid, typically 50% onsite and 50% remote Contract type Freelance / contract Duration Long-term engagement Language English You will secure, monitor and optimise the network platforms that carry sensitive data between European systems and national administrations.Senior Network Security Engineer (2 positions) Manage and troubleshoot the security platforms supporting cross-border connectivity Implement security policies across multi-vendor firewall estates Secure communications between central systems and Member State networks Network Monitoring & Load Balancing Specialist (1 position) Maintain monitoring, reporting and network visibility solutions Support application delivery and load-balancing services Drive capacity and performance management through dashboards and operational reporting

Senior Network Security Engineer Fortinet FortiGate Check Point Forcepoint IPS/IDS VPN and traffic inspection Network Monitoring & Load Balancing Specialist F5 BIG-IP Network monitoring and reporting platforms Capacity and performance management Dashboards and operational reporting Experience across both areas (for example firewalls and F5 in the same perimeter) is a strong advantage.Requirements
At least 10 years of professional experience in network security or network engineering Bachelor's degree in a relevant domain (IT, networking, telecommunications, computer science or similar) EU nationality, or at least 10 years of residence in Europe (required for security clearance) Willingness to work onsite in Strasbourg around 50% of the time Fluent English Preferred certifications Security Engineer: Fortinet NSE4 / NSE5 / NSE7, Check Point CCSA / CCSE; CISSP desirable Monitoring & Load Balancing Specialist: F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator, AZ-700 (Azure Networking); Splunk or observability certifications desirable-
