Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Exceed room revenue targets through account development and maintenance, regular sales calls, entertainment and sales trips as and where appropriate.  Support goals, objectives, and philosophies of Raffles Hotel Le Royal.  Develop lead sources through prospecting, solicitation, referrals, trace files, and cold calls. Conducts site inspections of the property with prospective and existing clients. Develops and implements new sales strategies, tactics and action plans for account base. Sources Meetings and Group business. Sources long staying guests from account base.  Manages the relationship between hotel and account portfolio. Attends business association events and networking events as and where appropriate.  Participates in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel and trade related organizations. Participates in the organization of sales & marketing actions such as sales briefing and weekly sales meeting, taking sales leads for prospects and clients. Develops business leads for the Hotel on weekly basis. Collates business cards for the team and ensures that all are uploaded to ‘constant contact. Prepares monthly Hit List of accounts to penetrate for the following week.  Prepares monthly action plan for main market segment.  Monthly reviews account profile/based on room nights production and average rate. Monitors Competitors Rate Strategy, Account penetration and Marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge. Be fully responsible of accounts under his/her management, including contracting, updating profile and renewing contracts in Opera.  Updates management on VIP arrivals and meet and greet accordingly. Cross-sell sister properties.  Conducts negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the Hotel. Attends and contributes to daily sales meeting and report on activities, market trends and business leads. Performs related duties and special projects assigned. Preparation of proposals and contracts for potential business. Implements and controls professional sales office administration Liaises closely with all Departments within the Hotel including Front Office, Food and Beverage and Banqueting, instantly follow up new sales leads and report at the regular sales feedback Support Asst. Director of Sales in preparing reports. Attends daily briefing to discuss previous sales contacts and to solve problems if any Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required.

Hotel Sales experience Segments : Corporate and Leisure Competent financial acumen e.g. P & L/ Budget / Forecasts Dynamic, Self-motivated, Enthusiastic Dependable and Adaptable Commercial Mind-set Self-Starter, resilient & appetite for business development  Strategic and process driven Organized with excellent communication
