The Sales and Business Development Manager DACH - Nutrition (f/m/d) will focus on sales at existing and new customers, identifies and evaluates business opportunities to grow Lonza`s share in the Consumer Health and Nutrition market (Dosage Form Solutions and Ingredients). Works closely with divisional and regional business leaders in order to identify and select strategic business opportunities and to define effective plans to secure growth for Lonza by targeting mass market retail brand, direct to consumer start-ups , large consumer health companies and nutrition contract manufacturers. Coordinate assigned cross functional projects between Sales/NPD/R&D/Operations with the objective to grow the business. Responsible for establishing the market evaluation positioning and introduction of new products, services, and technologies in the region.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for sales and generating new business & expansion of the customer base through direct customer visits Must be able to generate and close new business opportunities by promoting current technologies and emerging technologies as they become available mainly in the field of dosage form solutions and scientifically researched nutritional ingredients. Developing and implementing strategic account plans for the top accounts in order to grow share if wallet and launch new innovations. Identifies market trends, assesses market potential and develops strategies to grow Lonza´s market share in the Consumer Healthcare Industries. Creates creative presentations and implements development projects together with project management and product development for the DACH regional customers with the required project plans. Provides timely customer support and defines and interfaces with internal resources, when necessary.  Works with Lonza marketing, sales and product development to develop strategies that ensures Lonza´s position as a multi products solution provider for customers’ existing products and new product introductions. Ability to sell and manage to all levels of relationships including President, VP, Director, and CEO of Capsugel customers.

Key requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in science or business Experienced in the nutrition space Proven track record in delivering year on year business targets Technical understanding of nutrition and dosage forms preferred Strong interpersonal skills. Creative, adaptable, capable of self-motivation and independence Customer facing attitude. The ability to build relationships based on trust and long term commitment.
