1. Primary Objective of Position
The Associate Medical Director France position is to provide leadership and strategic direction in order to achieve company, business unit and individual performance objectives. This role is critical to establishing, fostering and maintaining excellent educational activities with healthcare providers and research collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), other clinical investigators and key academic institutions in order to build outstanding product awareness and advocacy. This position supports the divisional goals by developing aligned regional strategies. The Associate Medical Director France works under the departmental guidance of the Area Director of Medical Affairs, EMEA.2. Major Accountabilities
Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements. Help develop and deliver clinical messaging for products in coordination with the commercial and Medical Affairs teams. Help Develop and execute educational programs for clinical messaging to key stakeholders such as healthcare providers, payers, regulators, etc. Educate and coach the commercial team regarding clinical details of products and assist in the development of field activities. Optimize communication and interactions with key customers and accounts by working with strategic managers within Medical Scientific Programs, Account Management and Sales teams Assist in the tactical implementation of regional and local educational initiatives in concert with corporate and regional business goals Assist EMEA Medical Affairs in the integration of strategies, goals and messaging across supported diagnostic area Ensure the initiation of internal and external research projects involving present and future product pipeline Oversee advocate development at both divisional and regional levels, as executed by the EMEA Medical Affairs Group Covers mainly France and other Western European countries in need Based in Paris, France Significant travel (at least 40% of time) is required.3. Education
Medical degree with strong scientific or clinical background Educational background and/or clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Infectious or cardiovascular diseases, or related field Fluent in written and spoken English and French4. Background
Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical or lab medicine Experience in biotech/pharma/diagnostics industry (professional medical education, medical affairs or clinical research), or equivalent experience in healthcare management preferred5. Impact of position
Establishing strong and durable relationship with Laboratory as well as Clinical KOLs in the major fields of relevance to core Diagnostics allows raising the awareness about the medical and overall value for health care of our clinical diagnostics proposals. This allows to help providing better patient outcomes and reinforce Abbott’s image as a reliable partner with French or other countries health care providers.-
