Inside the Indirect Sourcing department (> 4Bn€ purchases) we are looking for a Commodity Manager for Corporate Services – Travel and Mobility.
The Commodity Manager will be hierarchically linked to Corporate Services Commodity Director and will be involved the purchasing of Travel and Mobility contracts.
The successful applicant will manage numerous internal and external stakeholders to develop the Commodity at global level and defined Procurement strategies on to deliver value for money and fit for purpose solutions.
He/she will have to exchange information with following central, region & sites networks:
Global, Regional and Local Procurement EHS & CSR (Environment …) Finance/Legal/Sourcing Efficiency IS&T Travel ManagerThe Commodity Manager will have the following objectives:
Coordinate and source in line with business objectives and according to ALSTOM procurement processes Define & develops commodities strategy with all stakeholders and drives its implementation (with all the Product lines) Contribute to build Global Travel and Mobility Commodity strategy Lead commodity maturity improvement plan Negotiate contracts and frame agreements with key suppliers Define supplier target panel in-line with Sourcing strategy and makes sure it is implemented Insured Commodity strategy efficiency with benchmarking Insured commodity maturity improvement through audit support and continuous improvement programs Innovate with best practices proposal and leadership or implementation Be recognized as a business development facilitator and an added-value contributorHe/she has these responsibilities:
Built transversal commodities strategy improvement and deployment Develop and share market constraints understanding Ensure Procurement project/service execution/influence by: Developing close network of internal and external stakeholders worldwide Working with internal stakeholders to align requirements with Procurement objectives Challenging technical specifications produced by stakeholders Bringing innovation through supplier selection and sustain supplier QCD performance Contributing to Make or Buy decision process utilizing reference costing and market indicators Supporting global negotiation for key projects securing savings in line with global targets Ensuring Procurement strategy application and alignment with processes and policy Develop strong relationship with Region and sites procurement organization Support Tender and Project Phases Drive supplier complex negotiations as appropriate Perform regular (min. quarterly) supplier performance review (incl. quality) and solves major issues and secures objectives achievement Managing multicultural team Manage two direct reportsPROFILE
Educational Degre: Business school or Engineering school preferred 5-8 years experience in international purchasing within an industrial environment & Experience within Project Management (direct and functional) Technical & Behavioral Competencies Strong buying and negotiating expertise Capability to build a robust strategy Strong sense of business acumen and analytical skills Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills Management experience Results, Service and Customer oriented Agile in a multi-cultural environment Team spirit, autonomous, force of proposal Speaking English and French mandatory Able to regularly travel to Saint-Ouen (20%/30%)You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
