We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Business Development training program to develop the skill sets and understanding required to become a competent and contributing member of the Company Sales staff as a Business Development Associate . This training program includes formalized training classes, computer-based online training, self-study and shadowing of experienced Sales staff.

The Global Sales Department has created a Sales Bullpen Program in order to develop qualified individuals into Salespeople to fill future open positions across the organization. We will be seeking candidates who demonstrate the skills we are seeking but will require up to 24 months to develop the skills needed to be a successful Business Development Associate.

A tailored training plan will be developed for the successful candidate, including time to be spent within Client Service to gain experience first-hand of the variety of our products and services across different disciplines.

Within Sales you can directly impact the top line of the Company. This is a great career opportunity to develop into the Business Development Executive role which ultimately will provide an exciting opportunity to utilize superior negotiation and teamwork skills on a daily basis in support of client services & sales objectives to help drive our future growth.

Responsibilities

Assist the Sales team to achieve new business objectives. Assist development of the new business pipeline on a Direct and Broker Partner basis. Formulate strategies to maximize our current hit ratio on new business. Maintain an active involvement with Paris Ops in the local insurance and brokerage community by participating in meetings, conferences and appearing at industry related functions. Build and maintain a thorough understanding of competitors’ products and services. Learn how to lead the client service teams to develop target prospects by creating road maps and drafting winning New Business Proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; degree in business, insurance, finance, or engineering desirable Minimum 2 years of professional experience in insurance company or insurance department of multinational company is mandatory Proven sales experience a plus Fluency in English Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual Effective listening and organizational skills Strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills, including presentation skills
