Our client, a fintech specializing in financial services, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their financial team (4 people).
You will have the opportunity to be part of a real human adventure within a rapidly growing startup eager to assert its strong corporate culture.
You will have a direct connection with their VP Finance and will manage the relationship with external accounting firms (Europe).
Your responsibilities will include managing accounting, taxation, and treasury functions.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the financial health and compliance of the company.
Job Description: Your responsibilities will include:
Manage and oversee accounting operations. Monthly Closures (GL): Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures in collaboration with external accounting teams and other team members. Prepare monthly financial statements, develop and execute strategies to optimize closures (reliability & speed). Order to Cash (AR): Manage the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing, with the assistance of an outsourced collection agency. Coordinate with product and engineering teams to enhance integrated and automated customer billing solutions. Procure to Pay (AP): Manage the supplier payment process and reconcile supplier accounts. Banking Operations (Balance Sheet): Provide support to teams handling banking operations on accounting-related matters such as reconciliation and resolution of ongoing transactions. Regulatory Reporting: Prepare quarterly regulatory reports on the state of financial activities and capital requirements (RUBA/COREP) for the Bank of France (ACPR). Audit: Lead the annual audit and tax declaration process in collaboration with external auditors. Collaborate with the compliance and internal control team for occasional financial audit tasks. Develop accounting and treasury management strategy. Act as the company's accounting and reporting expert, partnering with other departments and providing advice on accounting implications. Establish new accounting conventions to support the launch of new products (integrated loans, multicurrency). Define and manage the implementation of accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Optimize treasury management by managing working capital and ensuring strict controls on supplier payments. Collaborate with the financial team to guide financial decisions and provide key analyses and information in monthly reports. Actively participate in determining end-of-month provisions. Conduct a thorough review of monthly reports to identify improvement opportunities.Candidate Profile: Your profile:
You have 5 years of experience, ideally working in an accounting firm (startup experience is a plus but not necessary). You are rigorous and organized: your approach is meticulous, with great attention to all aspects of your work. You are autonomous and proactive: you can manage your priorities and adapt to changing conditions. You enjoy challenges: you are enthusiastic about tackling complex tasks and thriving in dynamic and evolving environments. You are tech-savvy: you already master or wish to master modern accounting tools. You have advanced skills in Excel and Google Suite: you can use tools to manipulate data and create detailed reports. You are fluent in English: you possess at least a C1 level in English, enabling effective communication in our international environment.The Offering: You will benefit from:
