YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
As a LCA/Footprinting Business Development Manager, you join our international LCA/Footprinting team driven by Mérieux NutriScience l Blonk company focusing on the expansion of our LCA/Footprinting offer within the world. In that position you are responsible for developing that business in the French/Spanish/German market working in close collaboration with the Managing Director of Mérieux NutriSciences l Blonk‘s. Your primary focus is on expanding and delivering high-quality LCA/Footprinting services within the Agro-Food sector, offering specialized expertise, strategic advice, and actionable insights. Your day to day work consists in:
- Consolidate market knowledge focusing on customers needs & competitive landscape
- Finetune the portfolio of services to be developed, define the related strategy and organization supporting the business development
- Onboard the sales, Customer Care and Marketing teams of our French/Spanish/German existing business to get their buy-in and collaboration in the development of our LCA/Footprinting offer
- Define go to market by targeted customers
- Sell solutions to customers and draft offers/quotations aligned with the Environmental Footprinting team’s pricing strategy
- Identify and build relationships with the main stakeholders in the footprinting space
- Oversee contracts & develop work processes
- Coordinate the projects execution with the support of Mérieux NutriScience l Blonk teams
- Being responsible for project deliveries
In a second step and to support the growth of the business, you will responsible to recruit and manage a team of consultants and LCA experts fostering a supportive team culture focused on growth and wellbeing
YOUR PROFILE
You have:
a solid experience in Footprinting or Life Cycle Assessments business development ideally acquired within the Agro-Food sector. a bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, environmental engineering, or related field.strong knowledge of specific industries, such as manufacturing, agriculture, or energy, and understanding their environmental impact considerations. a solid background on international LCA standards, such as ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, and an understanding of relevant regional regulations related to environmental footprinting demonstrated your ability to develop business and to collaborate with different teams in an international environment
excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive results through collaboration and innovation.
You are fluent in English and ready to commute regularly in our Dutch office based in Gouda in the Netherlands during the first months of your employment to be onboarded and trained on the company methodologies and tools.
