Our Instruments division is the world leader in development and deployment of modern solutions with high technological value to our customers Opticians and Optometrists, in the cutting/mounting of correction lenses and in refraction and diagnosis of eye diseases. Our mission is to provide vision professionals with equipment and services that are perfect responses to their business needs and help them build a strong and trusting relationship with their patients.
Product innovation driven by our R&D teams, the global development of our distribution networks and the strong integration of our business with the other entities of the Essilor Luxottica Group are the main drivers of the strong growth that the Instruments Division has been experiencing for 5 years.
You will act as technical reference with customer service on the following aspects:
- Taking a leadership role in sharing / spreading technical knowledge,
- Actively supporting worldwide technical networks (level 3),
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of products and processes within Instruments International division.
Key challenges are linked to a very wide products range spread all over the network and the request for an efficient response time to ensure customer business continuity and customer satisfaction.
Success factors are directly linked to the capacity of problem analysis and solving to propose the best solution.
You will have the following responsabilities:
- Technical reference for multiple countries in the distribution network:
- Provide technical support for some countries or entire global network.
- Act as the central contact for resolving technical issues and addressing inquiries from customers with the R&D team.
- Knowledge transfer within the network:
- Maintain and enhance the technical knowledge level of the network by actively sharing training content.
- Distribute relevant technical documentation to teams across different countries.
- Conduct training modules to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the products.
- Participation in the continuous improvement process:
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for improving products and processes.
- Gather feedback from the distribution network to contribute to the ongoing evolution of products and services.
- Propose innovative solutions to optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Project management
- Participate in/drive (depending on the complexity of the subject/project) certain projects related to their activities.
Your experience and background:
- Educational Background in electro-mechanical engineering or any industrial specialty engineering
- Strong professional experience in technical support or technical project management
- Solid experience in problem analyze and solving problems
- Solid experience with basic software packages and information system (PC, connectivity)
- Responsiveness and customer-oriented approach.
- Strong listening skills and analytical mindset, enabling the ability to make accurate diagnoses and provide effective solutions.
- Proficiency in conducting training sessions and a pedagogical sense.
- Strong English communication skills is a must.
- Knowledge of optician / optometrist industry is a plus.
