The Bobigny site is part of the Visibility Systems Center (VIS). It develops high-performance and innovative lighting and wiping systems that accompany the driver and passengers in all weather conditions, day and night, and in their various activities on board the vehicle. 

We are looking for a  Group  Segment Purchasing Director for this activity.

Your challenges?
 

Defines, obtains validation and implements the group segment strategy, to meet Business Groups operational performances requirements, while leveraging global scale of Valeo, in alignment with the companys purchasing policy.

  • Rationalizes purchases from advance development to serial production across all Valeo 

  • Chairman of the sourcing committee 

  • Manages the worldwide purchasing team network (RSL, BGSL), activities, policies, and best practices 

  • Assigns suppliers accountabilities to RSLs and BGSLs

  • Set team individual goals and monitors  performances

  • Updates annually the segment purchasing strategy, gets its approval from GCD

  • Leads Valeo Preferred Suppliers Policy for the segment, incl. Valeo Yearly Suppliers Performance ranking

  • Builds Valeo suppliers Panel for the World Wide / Regions / local- operational requirements (project and serial)

  • Ensures commercial and industrial market expertise of the segment for the group. 

  • Keeps Valeo informed of all relevant technological and market trends and economical changes

  • Communicates and ensures  the BG & G buy-in of the strategic plan for  the segment while Building and maintaining strong relationship with G and BG responsible (Management , R&D, Quality)

  • Works with key PGPLPurchasing PD stakeholders to ensure projects requirements are being met within segment strategy

  • Prepares & Drives annual purchasing  budget process:

  • Develops aggressive QCD improvement plan (incl. all levers) , obtains Group / BG validations

  • Assigns team individual goal setting; monitor team action plan / preparation of  RSL and BGSL negotiation tactical approach towards goal achievement

  • Direct top suppliers contracts negotiations 

  • Monitors and produces analysis on key performance indicators

  • Supports escalation for major contract execution issues together with impacted Region purchasing Mgr 

  • Pilots top worst suppliers improvement  plans of his segment

  • Arbitrates allocation of capacity under crisis situation

  • Leads supplier risks mitigation plan for the segment

About you? 

You have a Graduate degree.

You have at least 5 years experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive or industrial sector.

Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
