We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure / Cloud Run Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on maintaining the reliability, security, and cost efficiency of our cloud infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on Kubernetes and AWS ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, containerization, and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Run Reliability: Ensure high availability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure, particularly Kubernetes clusters and AWS and Azure services. Proactively monitor system health, perform troubleshooting, and apply patches and updates as needed.
- Production Instance Management: Efficiently create and delete production instances, ensuring smooth deployments and minimal downtime. Work with development teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures for our cloud infrastructure. This includes managing access controls, network security configurations, and continuous monitoring for vulnerabilities. Managing compliance and security efforts on infrastructure.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to ensure cost efficiency. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on performance or reliability.
- Tool and Technology Expertise: Utilize a range of tools and technologies to manage and improve our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes, AWS and Azure, and related technologies.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and management of containerized applications.
- Deep understanding of AWS services, especially EKS. Experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IAM in AWS for managing access controls and permissions.
- Understanding of VPC concepts to manage network configurations within AWS.
- Experience on compliance and security best practices.
- Experience with Helm, Docker, and secret management tools.
- Proficiency in GitOps tools such as Flux or Argo CD for continuous deployment.
- Knowledge of security scanning tools like Trivy.
- Experience with artifact registries and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Cluster API, Terraform, OpenTofu, Crossplane).
- Familiarity with monitoring and visualization tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Familiarity with using powershell scripting
- Exposure to other cloud providers like GCP and OVH is beneficial.
- AWS (must): Specifically, hands-on experience with EKS and knowledge of autoscaling.
- Azure: Experience with azure infrastructure deployments is a must.
- GCP and OVH (nice to have): Experience with this platform will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and infrastructure management.
- Ability to work in English and French.
