Joining the mission department, you will be involved in all activities related to space segment operations. Synchronizing with the space operations lead, you will design operational procedures to achieve mission objectives and comply with applicable regulations and safety standards. You will also contribute to the definition of the ground segment, ensuring that monitoring and commanding functions of the spacecraft are reliable and consistent with operational requirements.
- Getting up to speed on the mission CONOPS and past developments
- Designing operational procedures for interfacing with ground stations and SSA providers
- Building up the operational database and schedule
- Elaborating the operational procedures that fulfil the mission objectives
- Updating the CONOPS according to the spacecraft design evolutions
- Contributing to the ground segment design and spacecraft requirements
- Interfacing with and supporting the other teams to centralize the mission considerations and distribute the implementation constraints
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards
- Contributing to the mission operations processes and tools, to meet high-quality engineering standards
- Participating in the mission preparation and execution
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a similar position, including participation to space operations (launches and/or spacecraft control)
- Ideal background from the Defense / Aerospace industry (e.g. MBDA, Thales, Dassault, Safran, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in satellite operations
- Expertise in orbital mechanics, flight dynamics, and mission operations
- High-level knowledge of systems engineering, spacecraft systems, and spacecraft performances
- Ability to synthetize and structure in clear documentations
- As we have an international team, knowledge of technical English is required. Fluency in French is a plus
