The incumbent leads and manages CMP/Planners across multiple geographies and is accountable for operational planning responsibilities including working closely with Fleet Cell and Clients across fleet and crew cells, and helping enhance the usage and development of ShipSure.

• Ensures that crew planning for existing and new Fleets are consistent with global planning guidelines and principles
• Ensures that CMP/Planners are proactively building career progression plans for seafarers
• Assists CMP/Planner to Identify candidates for Critical open berths
• Authorizes transfers of officers between the crew pools (in line with Clients’ agreements)
• Escalation Point for Critical berths fulfilment 
• Ensures the Open crew pool, Unplanned Crew Pool, Candidates for Promotion are utilized effectively, and that data quality is maintained, including moving seafarers to inactive status when necessary.
• Acts as the first escalation point from crewing operations and CMP cells.
• Leads new vessel takeover crew planning process by reviewing existing crew pool strength and managing crew transfers where necessary.
• Proactively identifies crew retention risks and issues for assigned vessel segments, and works with appropriate stakeholders to mitigate the risks and address issues
• Collaborates proactively with CMPs across fleets and crew cells on ensuring flawless service is consistently delivered to customers.
• Reviews and monitors usage of ShipSure, and works with IT and other stakeholders to continuously improve usage and further development of ShipSure.
• Provides management support and guidance to CMP/Planners and other direct reports, making sure that they work according to operational model and VMS.
• Monitors Performance of reporting CMP/planners according to set KPIs. Relocate fleet between planners for efficient workload distribution when required.
• Receives feedback from Reporting planners regarding any crewing risks, difficulties and issues.
