Regional Sales Director - Western EuropeJob SummaryThe Regional Sales Director is responsible for the delivery of profitable sales revenues from the W. Europe region (territories to include France as the biggest and strategic market, Benelux, Switzerland & Italy) that is delivered on Euronews TV, Euronews.com, Africanews, and Africanews.com. These revenues include TV and digital advertising (direct and programmatic), sponsorship, all forms of content marketing, events as well as affiliate sales and other partnerships to develop new revenue streams for the Group.In close collaboration with the VP Sales Europe to whom he reports, the Regional Sales Director forecasts and delivers sales targets and provides regular progress and performance updates. The Regional Sales Director participates in the management of the ad sales team for these territories which is composed of currently two persons based in Paris. The role also includes the appointment and management of sales partners and agents as required.Primary Responsabilities:Develop and implement national and pan national sales strategies and tactical plans to sell integrated and cross-platform packages across desktop, mobile, video, and branded content;Establish a reputation as a trusted partner and thought leader, and represent Euronews at trade organizations and events;Develop both high-level client relationships for our Key Accounts, as well as a network of key industry contacts;Provide regular reporting and status updates to senior management on sales performance, as well as on market conditions;Manage the expectations of multiple internal stakeholders and provide a key interface with peers on the co-ordination and development of global customers;Support international colleagues in their efforts to deliver revenues from all regions through the sharing of customer insight;World closely with editorial, product, marketing and wider business to develop products and services that will attract key customers/categories within your portfolio;Build a high profile within the industry, including taking opportunities to participate in industry forums/speaking opportunities and engaging with relevant industry bodies at the highest level;Drive collaboration and a positive working culture across all the teams based in Paris (Africa sales team, Latam/Med/India team, distribution and partnership team, marketing team, Embrace and digital team members based physically in Paris).The Candidate:Prerequisites and Skills: Degree level education, fluent to bi-Lingual in French-English (C1-C2) and ideally another language;At least 7+ Years’ Experience in Media Sales and Business Development; specializing in prospecting and conquering new markets.A deep knowledge of both digital and television, as well as an unparalleled understanding of advertising in all its forms, including traditional display, content solutions and programmatic selling;Demonstrated ability to develop new partnerships, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable deals for the company.The ability to interface successfully with a variety of stakeholders and develop collaborative relationships, including business and corporate leaders in EMEA and across the global network, as well as editorial leadership;A passion for the brand and for Euronews content, an understanding of editorially-led organizations;A hunger for growth, curiosity about the industry and customer needs, highly competitive;A proven track record of mentoring sales executives, delivering revenue growth across multiple platforms and building client and agency relationships at the highest level;Extensive commercial experience in the following sectors: travel, finance & banking services, tech, healthcare, especially in roles that require development of content partnership, in particular the development of the French market.Experience and knowledge of the strategy for approaching global accounts;Experience in the European digital and cable television landscapes, in international sales, bringing understanding of the global media landscape and the Euronews global offering to Western European customers;Other Information:Location: Paris Office + occasional travelsContract: full-time permanent contractRemuneration: fixed salary + annual performance bonus If you are interested, please send CV and motivation letter.
