Job Summary :

The Regional Director of Ad Sales is responsible for developing advertising revenues across Africa for broadcast on Euronews TV, Euronews.com, Africanews, and Africanews.com. These revenues include TV and digital advertising (direct and programmatic), sponsorship, all forms of content marketing, events, as well as affiliate sales and other partnerships to develop new revenue sources for the Group.

Working closely with the global Sales Management to whom they report, the Regional Director of Ad Sales ensures the development of revenue and commercial margins in the aforementioned territories. In this capacity, they define, establish, and achieve objectives. The Regional Director of Ad Sales participates in the management of the Ad Sales team for these territories. They provide regular reporting on team performance, currently consisting of two individuals based in Paris. They also manage relationships with commercial partners and agents as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop commercial action plans and national and pan-national strategies to market integrated media and non-media solutions, multi-platform (TV, radio, display, video, mobile, programmatic), and diversification (event, brand content);
  • Position oneself as a true media/cross-media strategy advisor and trusted partner, representing Euronews in professional organizations and events, as well as with the press;
  • Develop both high-level client relationships and a network of key industry contacts to acquire major accounts;
  • Ensure the monitoring of strategic clients;
  • Implement KPIs and provide regular reports to management on the commercial activity of the region (performance evaluation, achievement of set objectives, implementation of corrective actions);
  • Ensure clear communication between management and the team regarding objectives, strategy, and company vision;
  • Coordinate all internal resources (marketing, studio, production) and serve as a key interface with the rest of the Sales teams (Africa, Latam/Med/India, distribution, partnerships, and Trade marketing) for the coordination and development of global clients;
  • Work closely with editorial, product, and marketing to develop products and services that will attract key clients/categories in the portfolio (tourism, automotive, institutions, etc.);
  • Foster a positive working culture within the Paris office.

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, fluent in French and English (C1-C2), third language appreciated;
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in selling international cross-media and digital advertising in agencies, media, or with advertisers;
  • In-depth knowledge of the media sector, providing an understanding of the global media landscape and Euronews' overall offering to African clients;
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders and develop collaborative relationships, including with business and company leaders in the Africa region and the global network, as well as with editorial management;
  • Commercial experience in premium sectors: travel, finance and banking services, technology, healthcare, especially in roles requiring the development of content partnerships,
  • Experience and knowledge of global account approach strategy;
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling the establishment of solid internal relationships, coaching salespeople, ensuring revenue growth across multiple platforms, and building relationships with clients and agencies at the highest level;
  • Results-oriented, positive, and unifying personality;
  • Possessing natural leadership and strategic ability, autonomous and proactive in actions and decision-making.
