The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

Within the Group, you will join the Group Underwriting Office/Ceded Re/Placement & Underwriting department. The Group Ceded Re department is responsible for:

  • Defining the reinsurance strategy of the AXA Group;
  • Analyzing the risks of the portfolios covered;
  • Protecting the balance sheet of the Group's entities;
  • Securing the insurance operations of the Group's subsidiaries;
  • Implementing solutions that optimize the Group's internal capacities and risk transfers to external markets.


Within this Department, you will be part of the team UGP CAT.

Your job and daily missions

Let's talk about you:

As CAT Life & P&C Executive, you will be responsible for :

  • structuring and placing the Group cover on Life risk,
  • contribute to the management and animation of AXA Property Pool scheme,
  • work on cross-functional projects for the Underwriting & Placement of CAT Group Protections.


You will report to the Head of Reinsurance Underwriting & Group Protections - CAT.

Core activities:

You will structure and place the Group Life program, working in close connection with the client executives of AXA entities and be a contributor to AXA Property Excess of Loss reinsurance, in strong relation with AXA Group Risk management. You will take responsibility for the whole contract management cycle (structuring, renewal, signing and partners relationship management), with the support of the UGP CAT team senior members.

Main accountabilities:

  • Prepare the underwriting committee to underwrite AXA subsidiaries Life Risk in collaboration with the representatives of AXA local entities
  • Structure and place programs for the Life Group cover in compliance with Group Risk and appetite, in collaboration with the actuarial departments (analytics, reserving and risk management) and support functions
  • Participate to management and coordination of underwriting activities, reporting and administration of the AXA Group Property Pool
  • Engage or initiate on transversal projects, operational and governance topics in collaboration with support functions teams


Your profile

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge in Life Insurance/Reinsurance and ideally Property
  • Familiarity with risks analysis, underwriting and contractual documentation
  • Organization and ability to manage administrative tasks


Soft skills:
• Analytical skill
• Ability to balance autonomy with team work

  • Initiative and adaptability
  • Effective and clear communication
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders, both external and internal


Experience:

A first experience in an insurance or ideally reinsurance department or company such as underwriting, portfolio management, risk management or actuarial function, audit, finance...
