JOB MISSION:

The purpose of this role is to develop long term sustainable relationships with accounts in the territory, to maximise all footwear and apparel sales targets with the accounts and to assist accounts to develop and grow their business with New Balance.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Sell In

Ø To ensure a qualitative follow-up & relationships with accounts and ensure multi level contact

Ø To achieve or exceed all footwear and apparel territory sales targets including future's, ASAP and clearance sales targets in line with company objectives

Ø To operate within our AM minimum Standards and to deliver professional customer focused sales standards at all times, to include presentation excellence

Sell Through

Ø To continually analyse sales and margin performance versus targets and to take appropriate action to remedy any gaps

Ø To work closely with your marketing contact to ensure effective co op marketing activity with targeted strategic accounts

Ø To obtain weekly sell through data from accounts and act on the data provided

Ø To develop action plans to achieve monthly order book conversion and annual targets and rectify any sales gaps

Ø Inventory management and ASAP replenishment

Communication

Ø To provide structured customer/account feedback on our product and on competitor product innovations to the Sales Manager and to the Product team

Ø To provide structured monthly account and product feedback to Line Manager, marketing and the product teams

Ø To communicate effectively to accounts about New Balance - our beliefs, values, objectives and policies

Efficiency

Ø To produce sales forecasts for priority accounts by style, by month

Ø To work closely with Customer Service teams to ensure service levels to accounts are maximised and to manage the order book from sales order to on time delivery – Including order reconciliation, price/discount checks and order book phasing

Ø To work closely with Credit/Finance department to ensure speedy resolution of any payment issues

Ø To understand and use company reports and statistics

Ø Forecast monthly orderbook conversion on a weekly basis by account

Ø To understand and operate within New Balance policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

Ø Full, clean driving licence

Ø Account management experience

Ø Sales forecasting and planning skills with numerical reasoning and analytical ability

Ø Have a good knowledge of and passion for the sports and lifestyle market

Ø Have good negotiation, influencing and communication skills

Ø Be driven to achieve targets

Ø Strong planning and organisational skills

Ø Analytical skills

Ø High affinity to the brand

Ø Ability to fulfil high levels of travel (weekly field presence over 20 departments)

Ø Team player
