About the Team:
In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director of PBP & Strategy and will provide HR Business Partner support as part of a team of HR professionals to leaders at all levels of the R&D organization at Medidata. You will participate on issues involving talent assessment, succession planning, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, employee and management development, compensation planning, performance management and employee engagement. In other words, you'll function as a full-service business consultant to an important, dynamic department. You will work across all areas on initiatives and processes as well as the ability to eventually own their own group for an opportunity to go deeper in helping drive the People Strategy in that given area.
You will be expected to by onsite in our New York City or New Jersey office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Know the business being served to help address the organization and talent needs
- Partner with the HR team to implement and guide the people strategy on talent, resourcing, engagement and culture in alignment with our priorities to achieve results
- Work with data, being able to spot trends, as well as, use data to tell a story
- Provide leadership coaching and change management support to leaders
- Partner with managers on performance management
- Intervene in employee related issues or investigations
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment with ambiguity and change
- Demonstrated proficiency/expertise in HR systems, reporting and analytics
- Leverages strong business acumen and analytic capability to integrate HR and business strategies
- The ability to get things done through others, without a direct reporting relationship
- You will have a bias for thoughtful action
- Experience in one or more core HR disciplines (Business Partnering, Compensation and Analytics, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development)
- Experience building credibility and effective relationships, as well as, a strong collaborator
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- An inspired professional who excels in a collaborative and open culture
- Bachelor's degree
- 5- 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Healthcare and/or Technology Industries
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $96,000 to $128,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Medidata follows a hybrid office policy in which employees who live within 25 miles of a Medidata office are expected to work on site a certain number of days per week (with the specific in-office days to be designated by your team). On July 8, 2024, employees will be expected to work on site at least 2 days per week. This will increase to at least 3 days per week beginning January 2, 2025.
