Marble is a fintech infrastructure startup, backed by VCs and Hexa.
We build a groundbreaking way to fight payment fraud, beginning by wire transfer fraud. Alongside, we also develop an open-source decision engine for banks, payment service providers and marketplaces.
We are based in central Paris and are expanding our team, having put the first customers in production.
Your Job
As our first sales manager, your job is to expand Marble’s network of banks and fintechs as fast as possible, to create the next generation of fraud fighting solutions. You are responsible for targeting the right stakeholders (COO, head of payment, head of fraud / risk) in each institution, and strive to achieve the sales objectives by managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to signature and go-live. You maintain a relation in the long run to ensure an efficient upsale process and contract renewal. You are in direct contact with our CEO to map market opportunities, share / rebound connections, and close the commercial and technical sale, and will become a founding member of the sales team.
Your main missions are :
- Manage the end-to-end sales process from inception to close, supported by our tech / product team on the integration process.
- Build and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities
- Generate qualified business opportunities through highly targeted prospecting, coordinating with growth
- Provide in-depth fraud expertise to banks and fintechs, and play an active role in educating them about the payments landscape
- Undergo extensive discovery with banks and fintechs in order to understand their pain points and solve complex fraud and AML challenges
- Continuously update our CRM and carry out weekly reporting of commercial activity to senior management
Core Skills
- You already have at least an significant experience with a senior sales role targeting financial institutions or corporates. This role will not immediately include people management, but may evolve in the futur
- 2+ years experience in Consultative Sales/Solution Selling to C-Level decision makers in the Fintech / Payment Segment / Bank segment
- Experience managing complex sales cycles averaging 3-6 months, with multiple stakeholders
- Experience of meeting and achieving sales targets as an outbound sales exec/hunter in the tech industry.
- Tech savvy, you like working in an API based environement
- You have great written and oral communication skills
- You are fluent in English (oral and written).
Nice to have
- Existing network in banks and financial institutions
- Experience in a startup (Seed to Serie C )
- A second fluent language : Spanish, Italian, Dutch, German
