Senior Support Specialist

For our customer we are looking for a seasoned Senior Support and Enhancements Consultant with expertise in Oracle Retail SIOCS (Store Inventory Operations Cloud Service) and MFCS (Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service). In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level support, driving functional enhancements, and optimizing the performance of the Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS). The ideal candidate has a solid background in retail operations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a strong collaborative spirit for working across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and Troubleshooting: Deliver expert support for Oracle Retail SIOCS and MFCS, handling complex issues and ensuring quick, efficient resolution of incidents.
- Enhancements and Upgrades: Lead system enhancement projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, and implementation of upgrades to maximize RMS functionality.
- System Configuration: Customize and configure Oracle Retail applications according to business needs, adhering to best practices and retail standards.
- Integration Management: Coordinate with IT and business units to manage system integrations, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across Oracle Retail and other enterprise systems.
- Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain thorough documentation of configurations, processes, and operating procedures. Provide training and support to users and junior consultants.
- Project Collaboration: Support project teams with new implementations, upgrades, and maintenance tasks related to Oracle Retail solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main contact for stakeholders regarding system functionality and enhancements, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay current with trends in retail merchandising and Oracle solutions, offering strategic insights to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Retail SIOCS, MFCS, and RMS, with a strong background in support and enhancements.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Oracle Retail applications, database management, and SQL; familiarity with retail processes and inventory management is critical.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on innovative, critical thinking.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, able to translate complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work well in team environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Oracle Retail Certifications
- Experience with Agile project management
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and data integration tools
