About the Role:
The Services France activity currently employs around 1,000 collaborators spread across our 8 establishments and 35 customer depots dedicated to warranty activity.
We provide a wide range of maintenance, modernization, repair, spare parts supply, and technical support services to help our customers maximize the reliability and availability of equipment while enhancing passenger satisfaction and comfort.
For our warranty/retrofit activities, we are hiring a Technician Validator to make modifications on rolling stock such as tramways or TGV trains operating in Ile-de-France.
This position may be based in La Rochelle with frequent travels to Ile-de-France or linked to Saint-Ouen (93).Reporting to the Services Department and under the responsibility of the Retrofit Services Manager, we are looking for a field technician.
During this mission, you will be responsible for:
Before the construction sites:
Collect technical information (validation procedures), analyze relevance, and propose any adjustments based on intervention modalities (client installations)
Ensure all necessary means for a smooth construction site operation are available and in good working order before site start-up (tools, parts, documents)
During the construction sites:
Perform tests on modification sites in accordance with method instructions (non-regression tests, software updates)
Detect and analyze anomalies and formally report information
Respect the execution deadlines defined by Retrofit methods
Update the CMMS databases by reporting relevant information
Ensure the use of validation tools compliant with requirements (calibration...)
Master the quality standard and rules of the art
If workload requires, functionally lead a team of validator technicians (contractor or hired)
If workload is lighter, support retrofit teams by applying modifications on trains
Implement self-control
Ensure information flows to site coordinators/team leaders and site teams
Ensure the smooth running and final quality of interventions (respect for method procedures, completeness, and recording of reports...)
Integrate respect for EHS rules, prevention plan, and in general, all processes related to modification activities
Eventually accompany, inform, and train a newcomer (Retrofit Validator Technician)
Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhere to the highest ethical conduct standards
About the Ideal Candidate:
Technical background with a BAC 2, DUT, or technical professional license (mechanical, electrical, electro-technical...)
Several years of experience in the industry in a testing, test, or development technician position
Technical knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, especially electrical/electronic and computer science, and the ability to read and understand principle diagrams and plans will enable you to successfully carry out your tasks
A liking for the field is necessary to assist operational teams and, combined with your technical knowledge, you will be able to optimize operating modes
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively internally as well as with clients and suppliers
Activities related to the position will be primarily based in the Paris region, focusing on the validation of the new TGV "M", so it is advantageous to have knowledge of rail and rolling stock
We are looking for a rigorous, practical, communicative person with an approach to problem-solving and synthesis
Ability to propose solutions and corrective measures
Customer-oriented, ensuring quality approach and compliance with deadline commitments are necessary
Proficiency in IT tools, French, and English for certain export projects is required
The activity involves traveling to our clients' depots.
