The La Rochelle site (17) is a global Center of Excellence at Alstom specialized in the design, manufacture, and production of TGV and Tramway.

To support the projects, the La Rochelle site is looking to strengthen its teams by hiring a Project Planning Manager TGV.


Responsibilities:

Responsible for project planning:

managing the deadlines of the scope covered by these plans (establishing the reference schedule, updating, analyzing, consolidating, recommending action plans, managing the critical path).

Act as responsible for the project planning and development.
Lead multi-disciplinary meetings and set up the macro-planning of the project and the client planning.
Define logics/strategies for development to be implemented following the analysis of gaps.
Ensure effective communication to all parties involved regarding the plans and their updates.

Ensure that the planning implications of project changes are made visible and clear before decisions are made by the project team in his/her scope.

Regularly communicate with the project manager, project controller on the planning assumptions, reference schedule, progress, and delays to monitor the impact on costs.

Regularly inform the risk and opportunity manager of any risks and opportunities arising from current or future planning deviations for the scope under his/her responsibility.


Qualifications:


Engineering, business school, or university degree with 10-15 years of confirmed experience in project planning management of a similar nature in an industrial environment.

Knowledge of planning techniques, critical path management, and system engineering design (including V&V cycle).
Strong ability to unify teams towards a common goal, to manage priorities, and communicate with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in English.
