Senior Perception Engineer (Computer Vision, GNC, Robotics), Up to 130,000 EUR, Paris

Senior Software Engineers sought for a well-funded, high-growth defense & robotics scaleup developing autonomous marine and payload systems. We are seeking a hands-on Autonomy Specialist to take full ownership of our core software stack - leading the algorithmic architecture across Guidance, Navigation, Control (GNC), multi-agent swarm logic, and real-time computer vision / sensor fusion for edge platforms.

The company is developing high-speed, autonomous edge platforms designed to operate in complex, contested, and real-world environments. Its technology combines robust real-time software, embedded AI model optimization, dynamic trajectory planning, and computer vision / acoustic perception to deliver continuous operational capability without reliance on GPS or conventional surface infrastructure.

Ideally you will have experience performing software engineering in one or more of the following areas:

Core Robotics & Embedded C++ / Python: Proven track record of developing mission-critical, low-latency, and multi-threaded robotics algorithms directly deployed on Linux edge hardware.
Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) / State Estimation: Hands-on experience developing trajectory optimization, target tracking, path planning, and sensor fusion algorithms (EKF/UKF combining IMU, DVL, vision, or acoustic sensors).
Perception & Computer Vision: Experience implementing onboard visual/sonar processing pipelines, object detection, or visual-inertial odometry (VIO/SLAM) using OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorRT, or C++ computer vision frameworks.
Multi-Agent Systems & Swarm Autonomy (Preferred but NOT essential): Exposure to decentralized swarm coordination, multi-robot path planning, dynamic mission allocation, or Gazebo/Isaac/ROS simulation environments.
