Laboratory Technician

Job Mission:

We are looking for a laboratory technician with a strong background in labware management and molecular biology. You will be responsible for the daily management of all wet lab needs of the scientific team and support of our experimental program. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Routine handling, preparation and sterilization of glassware and reaction media
• Preparing and assisting in the setup and assembly of our custom bioreactors
• Support role for experimental campaigns in microbiology, molecular biology, bioproduction and bioprocessing

You will work closely with our world-class technical team, led by our Chief Scientific Officer, with expertise spanning many disciplines: from microbiology to electrochemistry to hardware engineering. Your main asset in this role is your ability to organize and execute tasks while working closely with different teams across many disciplines in a dynamic, fast-moving organization. The role requires a high level of autonomy in the management and execution of routine tasks while balancing flexibility with the current needs of our experimental program.

Competencies:

Ideal candidates for the role will have the following competencies and experience:

• Undergraduate qualifications in microbiology, molecular biology or a related life sciences discipline

1. For French candidates: Bac+2
2. For International candidates: minimum of a bachelors or technical degree

• Track record in a similar role - at least 1 year of practical experience (full-time) in wet lab management
• Experience and certification in autoclave use is a plus
• Highly organized, excellent documentation skills and confident in multi-tasking across many parallel projects
• Can demonstrate a high degree of quality control in executing large experimental programs
• Comfortable with English as a your daily working language (we are a very international company)

Centeon is an early-stage green chemicals company based in Paris, France. Since incorporating barely a year ago, they have demonstrated key technical milestones that unlocked the support of select early-stage investors. The two founders (Jerome and Daniel) bring different and complementary experience, expertise and leadership by execution to their young team as they sprint to meet their technical and commercial targets.
