Job Description: Chief Executive Officer


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's strategic vision, ensuring alignment with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations, including trading activities, customer support, risk management, and technology infrastructure.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory developments in the digital asset and blockchain industry and ensure the exchange's compliance with relevant laws and regulations. As a key liaison with the regulators, establish a constructive and close working relationship with the regulators.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for business expansion, partnership development, and market penetration to drive growth and revenue.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management protocols to safeguard the exchange's assets, mitigate trading risks, and protect customers' funds.
  • Financial Management: Manage the company's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and capital allocation, to optimize profitability and sustainability.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Brand Building: Enhance the exchange's brand reputation and market positioning through effective marketing, PR, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Technology Innovation: Drive technological innovation and product development initiatives to enhance the exchange's trading platform, user experience, and security features.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with the digital asset and blockchain community, industry stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to promote transparency, trust, and credibility.


Qualifications:

  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the cryptocurrency market, trading dynamics, and blockchain technology.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leadership in a senior executive role, preferably with 3 - 5 years solid leadership experience within the fintech or crypto industry.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong strategic thinking and visioning skills, with the ability to anticipate market trends and formulate effective business strategies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing crypto exchanges, AML/KYC requirements, and compliance best practices, especially with respect to The Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA).
  • Market Knowledge : Preferably with proven experience in France, Spain, Portugal and or Poland.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid financial acumen and analytical skills, with experience in financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Team Building: Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on talent development, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Integrity: Uncompromising integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to upholding the highest standards of transparency and compliance.


Prerequisites:

  • Must be a EU resident.
  • Proficient in English and French.
