About GitGuardian

GitGuardian is a global cybersecurity scale-up. The company is based in Paris, New-York City, Boston.

Our early investors include Scott Chacon, co-founder of GitHub, and Solomon Hykes, co-founder of Docker, alongside leading US and European VC firms. We raised our Series C in early 2026.

GitGuardian leads the way in securing the credential layer, helping organizations protect the secrets that let code, machines, and AI agents access systems with broad detection, identity context, and remediation at scale. Already trusted by 600K+ developers worldwide and by 50 of the Fortune 500

About your team and your mission

GitGuardian is a tech company, as such, the engineering department is key to the success of the company. The main challenges we are solving include: scanning various data streams at scale to find secrets in them (scan >10M code patches, messages or images every day), developing our scout component that is deployed on our customers’ infrastructure to securely collect and map non-human identities, integrate ML models and capabilities in our product with an elegant UX.

Join the Incidents team: once GitGuardian detects a secret, we own everything that follows, from prioritization and routing to remediation. We put AI into production where it matters, with an LLM risk score that rates every new incident and an MCP server that lets AI agents work with GitGuardian. We also solve real problems of scale, with millions of incidents and presence checks to process every day. Small squad, big ownership: you lead projects end to end, from design doc to demo.

Your main mission will be to:

  • Own the delivery of projects and features end to end. You collaborate with your PM and other engineers to come up with efficient and resilient solutions, and you own some of the product decisions.

  • Tackle complex engineering problems, with a focus on the performance of our application and backend: you investigate, fix and improve.

  • Bring AI to production in our product, and use AI in your own workflows to be more efficient.

  • Help to level up the engineering department by reviewing your peers’ code, mentoring more junior developers, and proposing new conventions or ways of doing things.

  • Be involved in transverse discussions: review design documents from other teams when they impact your team’s perimeter, and take part in cross-team discussions around our stack and tech decisions.

  • Take part in support and deployments when you are on duty.

Technical environment-

  • Backend: Python with Django and Celery.

  • DB: PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch

  • Frontend (nice to have): React / TypeScript

  • Deployment: Kubernetes, ArgoCD, AWS

  • Tooling: GitLab, Linear, Slack
