Build Your Future With Us

The digitization of tax compliance is fundamentally changing global commerce and how businesses need to operate and grow. Governments now have real-time visibility into business data, creating new challenges and new opportunities for organizations around the world. At Sovos, we're transforming tax compliance from a business requirement into a driver of growth through AI-powered technology that delivers the accurate, real-time insights businesses need to make smarter decisions.

We're solving more than today's tax compliance challenges. We're helping reshape global economies by enabling organizations to navigate increasingly complex and rapidly changing regulatory environments with confidence - and helping communities thrive.

AI is accelerating what's possible, enabling tax and technology professionals to more effectively drive critical regulatory decisions. That's where Sovos excels, combining intelligent technology with human expertise to help customers stay ahead of change.

Don't worry if you don't check every box. We're focused on hiring great people, not perfect resumes. It's less about what you've done elsewhere and more about what you're capable of doing here.

The Role

At Sovos, we're building the future of global tax compliance software, and our people operations are the backbone of that mission. We're looking for a Senior HROps Specialist to own day-to-day HR operations across our European footprint, with strong working knowledge of French payroll, compliance, and employee lifecycle management. This is a high-impact role requiring both practitioner-level depth in European employment law and the operational rigour to run accurate, compliant, scalable processes across multiple jurisdictions.

More specifically, you will:

  • Own end-to-end payroll administration for assigned European countries in partnership with ADP Celergo and regional vendors, including payroll calendars, data input quality, and post-run audit processes.
  • Manage French payroll inputs and validation, including DSN submissions, URSSAF and social charge calculations, mutuelle and prévoyance contributions, RTT days, congés payés accrual, and 13th-month or variable pay practices under applicable collective agreements.
  • Maintain payroll accuracy at or above 99.9%, with full cycle documentation and audit readiness, and collaborate with Finance to ensure payroll data integrity for consolidation and reporting.
  • Maintain employee data integrity in ADP WorkforceNow for all European employee records across the full employment lifecycle, ensuring regional data flows align with global reporting standards.
  • Support the management of benefits programmes across all active European countries, including statutory entitlements, supplemental plans, annual renewals, and broker relationships.
  • Act as the operational compliance lead for employment law requirements across European jurisdictions, including GDPR, local statutory reporting, and France-specific obligations such as Journée de Solidarité and statutory time recording requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes (new leave laws, social contribution rate adjustments, reporting mandates) and update internal processes accordingly, maintaining country-specific HR documentation and policy libraries that are audit-ready and reflect current local requirements.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding operations for all European employees, including French DPAE filings, contract types (CDI/CDD), and compliant termination processes (rupture conventionnelle, solde de tout compte).
  • Leverage AI tools to identify and implement automation that improves payroll, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes without sacrificing accuracy or auditability.

What You Bring to Sovos

  • You've built HR operations experience across multiple European countries, with hands‑on payroll and HR administration expertise spanning diverse regulatory environments.
  • You bring hands‑on experience with French HR operations or payroll, including DSN, URSSAF, collective agreement administration, and navigating France-specific compliance requirements.
  • You have working knowledge of GDPR and its operational HR implications, including data handling, employee record retention, cross‑border transfers, and CNIL expectations for employee data.
  • You're proficient with ADP Celergo or a comparable international HRIS/payroll platform, and you bring exceptional attention to detail to high‑stakes data integrity work where errors carry direct legal, financial, or employee trust consequences.
  • You anticipate operational gaps and drive continuous improvement across HR proc
