Job Description

You join the Compliance and Internal Control team as a dedicated referent on all matters related to the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism (AML/FT) and compliance with international sanctions and embargoes.

On a daily basis, you have the following tasks:

1. Relationship entry & operational monitoring (KYC/KYB)

  • Validation of KYC/KYB records: Ensure the validation and monitoring of investor client records (active KYC) as well as the validation of counterparty records (passive KYC). Ensure the periodic review of existing clients according to their risk profiles.

2. Management of alerts & screening

  • Processing level 2 alerts: Analyze and raise (or elevate) alerts from the daily screening (sanctions lists, politically exposed persons, negative press).
  • Optimization of screening tools: Contribute to the update, configuration and optimization of databases and screening scenarios in order to reduce the false positive rate.
  • Optimization of the recertification tool: Contribute to the improvement of the client recertification tool developed internally.
  • Risk assessment: Actively participate in the annual update of the AML-CFT and Sanctions risk mapping.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify areas of vulnerability and propose corrective action plans (adjustment of thresholds, strengthened controls).

4. Regulatory reporting & governance

  • Internal reporting: Drafting the AML and Sanctions activity reports for the RCCI, the General Management, and our shareholder (periodic reporting and compliance committees, risk committees).
  • External reporting / Regulator: Collaborate in drafting annual regulatory reports (e.g., RACI, AMF questionnaires or equivalent depending on the jurisdiction) and prepare escalation cases (suspicious transaction reports / Tracfin).

5. Training & Support for Operational Staff

  • Compliance Culture: Design and conduct regular and tailored training sessions for operational teams.
  • Advisory role: Act as a business partner on a daily basis to answer questions from operational teams related to AML-CFT/Sanction.

6. Regulatory monitoring & projects

  • Active legal monitoring: Closely monitor national and international regulatory developments in AML-CFT - Sanctions
  • Transposition and implementation: Lead or actively participate in compliance projects related to regulatory developments.
  • Compliance: Adapt the company’s internal policies, procedures, and tools to new requirements.
