About the role
We arelooking for our new Site Director for our manufacturing plant located in Villefranche-sur-Saône, France.
The siteemploys approximately 110 people and specializes in the production of AdhesiveTechnologies products (Hot Melts and Polyurethane Adhesives) servingcustomers in France and internationally.
This position reports directly to the NetworkProduction Director Europe and plays a key role in ensuring operationalexcellence, sustainable business growth, and a strong safety culture
What you will do
Purpose of the role:
- Deliver high-quality productsand outstanding customer service at a competitive cost while ensuring fullcompliance with company policies, legal requirements, safety standards,environmental regulations, certification requirements, traceabilitystandards, and inventory targets.
- Lead the site's operationalperformance and continuous improvement agenda to achieve businessobjectives.
- Represent the site internallyand externally, acting as the primary ambassador of the facility and itspeople.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the safe, efficient, andcost-effective production of high-quality products while meeting customerservice expectations.
- Drive continuous improvementinitiatives and operational excellence programs to optimize productivity,quality, service levels, and costs.
- Set, manage, and monitor thesite's budget to achieve annual growth, profitability, and performancetargets.
- Ensure compliance with all SHEQstandards (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) and applicable legalrequirements.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop thesite leadership team, fostering a high-performance culture built onaccountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Build and execute long-termworkforce and succession plans aligned with business needs.
- Strengthen organizationalcapabilities by developing a skilled, engaged, flexible, and empoweredworkforce.
- Promote a strong culture ofsafety, inclusion, and employee engagement across the site.
Stakeholder Management & Representation
- Serve as the primary point ofcontact for all site-related matters.
- Act as the legal representativeof the plant and ensure full compliance with regulatory and laborrequirements.
- Represent the site and thelegal entity externally with local authorities, regulatory bodies,customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as President of theHenkel Operations legal entity in France.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate closely with SupplyChain, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Engineering, Procurement, and otherbusiness functions to support growth and innovation initiatives.
- Contribute to wider network andregional manufacturing strategies while ensuring alignment with Henkel'sbusiness objectives....
What makes you a good fit
Education
- Master's degree in Engineering,Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a relatedfield.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10 years ofexperience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or a strategicleadership position, including significant people managementresponsibilities.
- Proven experience leadingmanufacturing sites or large-scale operational teams within a complexindustrial environment.
- Strong understanding of modernmanufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, TPM, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of supply chainmanagement, including production, planning, logistics, and inventorymanagement.
- Good understanding of financialmanagement, labor law, environmental regulations, and industrial safetyrequirements.
Leadership Competencies
- Strong leadership and peopledevelopment skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and influence teamsat all levels.
- Strategic mindset combined withstrong execution capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholdermanagement and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive changeand lead transformation initiatives.
Languages
- Fluent in French and English.
