Mechanical Engineers sought for a well-funded, high-growth maritime & robotics scaleup developing autonomous marine and payload systems. We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Builder to take full ownership of the vehicle’s physical structure and CAD design - leading the hardware from early prototyping through workshop assembly, field trials, and small-series production.
The company is developing high-speed, autonomous edge platforms designed to operate in complex, real-world environments. Its technology combines robust mechanical integration, watertight structural designs, and optimized sub-system packaging to deliver continuous operational capability without reliance on conventional infrastructure.
Ideally you will have experience performing engineering design in one or more of the following areas:
- End-to-End Mechanical CAD Design: Proven experience using Fusion 360 or SolidWorks for component sizing, functional dimensioning, structural architecture, and material selection.
- Sealed & Watertight Assemblies: Hands-on experience designing watertight enclosures, dynamic/static seals, cable penetrations, and hull interfaces for demanding environments.
- Multi-Disciplinary System Integration: Proven ability to account for thermal management, physical space constraints, vibration, and wiring harness routing in close collaboration with electronics and firmware teams.
- Manufacturing & Production (Preferred but NOT essential): Exposure to Design for Manufacturing (DFM), small-batch production transitions, supplier management for machining/fabrication, or establishing inspection methods.
