**The Technical Manager **is required to support technical growth-up of the Light Rail platform addressing growing and specific market needs (from turnkey projects and renewal of existing fleets on historic networks).

He is responsible for guiding overall train and sub-system architectures on R&D Program, Tenders, Projects led by LRV platform with a focus electrical and functional architectures, and associated performances.

He/she also will define train and sub-system specifications to cover LRV platform strategy and objectives with the support of the engineering teams.He/she will participate to pre-tendering activities to anticipate market needs and support tender preparation.

He/she will ensure structured and efficient coordination of sub-system managers to secure proper sub-system and train characteristics within the LRV platform development roadmap and Tenders/Projects objectives.

**Key accountabilities**:

- **Perform market needs analysis and define train architecture in pre-tender and tender**:

- Perform market needs analysis from customer specification (pre-tenders and tenders), taking into account applicable standards, industrial and sourcing constrains requirements.
- Support product definition and promotion during pre-tender (up to Win/Go review)
- **Support tender and project delivery**:

- Support tender technical analysis and technical deliveries in consistency with agreed platform and region strategy
- Support project design reviews and critical technical topics
- **Ensure progressive convergence toward product continuous update**:

- Specify expected performances, functions and associated interfaces for new development
- Support standard upgrade watching
- Act on technical orientations between the Sub-S managers, PrEM and BTM to reach the best compromise at train level in agreement with the platform strategy.
- **Ensure innovation management applicable to LRV platform**
- **Ensure progressive convergence toward product continuous update**:

- Specify expected performances, functions and associated interfaces for new development.

**Experience required**:

- Extensive technical and Light Rail knowledge
- Tenders and Projects background

**Competencies & Skills**
- Balanced skills between general management, technical management and project management
- Strong leadership and ability to federate teams on technical orientations to reach QCD targets
- Demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional activities and numerous/various stakeholders
- Ability for analysis, problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environment
- Ability to work across sites in a multi-cultural environment.
- University background: Engineering degree ( Master or equivalent)
- Fluent in english
