THE ROLE
Analyze Carbon Intensity Indicator for chartered vessels
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Collect the information necessary for the calculation of the CII and update the specific databases for this calculation and its effects on the vessels’ operational utility
2) Analyze and assess the performance of chartered vessels in comparison with the current charter contract and the constraints imposed by IMO 2023 compliance
3) Control and challenge the information and projections communicated by shipowners and operating liner departments
4) Analyze the data collected and calculated in collaboration with the Group's technical services to identify CII mitigation strategies
5) Establish real CII impact test protocols, organize and conduct the tests in collaboration with the liner departments’ operational teams and the shipowners / ships
6) Negotiate / coordinate with the shipowners, the timing and the nature of the measures to be implemented in order to reduce limitations for the Group / its shipping lines
7) Develop analysis
- and reporting tools to ensure a clear and easy understandable vision on CII / fleet constraints for all Group stakeholders.
PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS
Master degree in engineering or maritime
5 years of experience, of which 3 in shipping
Precise knowledge of IMO 2023 regulations (IMO MARPOL ANNEX VI relating to CII / EEXI, IMO DCS) and EU MRV and detailed calculations for container ships and Ro-Ro vessels.
Good Mathematical knowledge, comfortable with the analysis of figures/data (performance analysis)
Naval architecture
Treatment of figures, perfect command of Excel / VBA / Python to use and develop monitoring and reporting tools
Fluent in written and oral English
