**Duties**:
Reports directly to the Design and Print Center supervisor.
Is responsible for the day-to-day operation of printing copiers in the Design & Print Center.
Is responsible for printing (as well as binding, laminating, and cutting) requirements from Protocol Office, Front Office, Mission Officers, two Consulates, four American Presence Posts and approximately 50 affiliated agencies.
Provides expertise on graphic design reproduction, helps the design supervisor on graphic design and layout solutions.
Responsible for printing various publications issued by the Department for the Ambassador and high-ranking officials in France.

**EXPERIENCE**:A minimum of two years experience as offset / digital press operator and desktop publisher in professional print industry is required.

**JOB KNOWLEDGE**: Familiarity with the prepress procedure in graphic design production. Solid knowledge of the printing process : layout, typography and color reproduction. Soli d knowledge on operating all machines in a print shop, mainly digital printer, laminator, binder and cutter. Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, lnDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office and Publisher. Basic knowledge of U.S. Government administrative procedures.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
Ability to operate on various types of print shop machinery and peripheral equipment including collator, binder, folding machine, cutter, perforator, digital printer (scanning included) and laminator.
Ability to cut and mount posters for exhibits.
Assists design supervisor on layout and design if needed. Ensures good quality service, and is customer oriented.
Ability to set priorities.
High quality accuracy skills required, with attention to detail. Follows safety precautions in printing, cutting, assembling.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

**SALARY**: the **annual gross salary includes**: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.

**MEAL TICKETS**: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.

**TRANSPORTATION**:Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.

**HOLIDAYS**: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.

**For EFMs**, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
