The **Competitiveness Manager** is part of a wide network and it is **dedicated to the High Speed platform** and he/she is in charge for:

- Ensuring the completeness of the reference library and its continuous monitoring versus Quality Cost Delay Performance (QCDP) objectives
- Managing competitiveness plans on the platform’s products, reference libraries and reference solutions
- Support pre-tendering / tendering activities and start of projects with reference libraries.
- Collecting the Return of Experience (ROE) on relevant Projects

He/she reports to the Competitiveness & Standardization Director of the High Speed Platform

**Key missions**:
**Managing the yearly update of the Reference Library (Ref Lib) **which objective is to:

- Manage & improve the competitiveness of our products portfolio
- Build quick and robust tenders based on our standards
- Capitalize re-usable elements of our know-how

**Animating the Competitiveness actions on Reference Library**
- Support the Product/or Solution manager in building, driving and permanently challenging the Reference Library on QCD aspects : allocate and follow the cost target achievement per contributor, update the Reference Library with cost improvement confirmed
- Coordinate, on behalf of the Product/or Solution manager, competitiveness action plans with all functions: build and present business cases of new competitiveness actions
- Support the Product Director and manager on demand for the costing activity
- Prepare and present Reference Library review (in coordination with the Competitiveness Director), according to the standards and the calendar defined

**Enabling competitive Tenders and Projects**
- Support the Platform at pre tendering and tendering stage in assessing on demand quick costing, target costs, target allocation to stakeholders using Reference Library data
- Hold reviews with bid cost managers to ensure the offer is aligned with Reference Library content
- Support to Projects on cost analysis, monitor their competitiveness action plans

**Implementing Modularization and Standardization principles**
- Support the decision making by providing inputs for the different solution cost comparison

**Profile required**:
**Educational background**:

- Master in Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience Ideally in the Railway industry
- Knowledgeable of Costing, or Engineering, or Sourcing in industry

**Competencies/skills**
- **Technical**:

- Ability to recognize product and associated costs, and understand operational flows (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, etc)
- Understanding of enterprise internal processes: Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Quality and their interfaces
- Awareness of financial rules and contractual aspects (bonds & guarantees,)
- Good communication skill (presentations, synthesis, relationship with contributors...)
- Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment
- Fluent in English: spoken and written
- **Behavioral**:

**Location**: the position can be based either in Saint-Ouen headquarters north of Paris with regular meetings in Henningsdorf (Germany), or the opposite.
