The person hired for the position of Event Planner, West Mediterranean Region (WMR) will provide specialized professional services to support the planning and execution of localized Medical Education programs and Voice of Customer meetings in the West Mediterranean Region. This individual works independently to coordinate field sales force driven medical education events and advisory meetings of moderate complexity, some requiring travel for onsite execution. This front-line position interacts substantially with internal business partners in professional, supervisory or co-worker level roles and external healthcare professional (HCP) customers routinely, necessitating high levels of customer service, sharp attention to detail, and skilled oral and written communication.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Event Planner in WMR, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

- Providing specialized professional services to support the planning and execution of local Medical Education programs in EMEA, with primary focus on events in the West Mediterranean Region (France, Spain, Portugal).
- Working independently to plan and execute medical education events. Arranging Faculty/Speaker travel arrangements, conducting venue sourcing and contracting. Accountable for budget management and assuming fiscal responsibility in managing program spend.
- Working closely with Health Care Compliance to ensure adherence to MedTech Code of Conduct, global requirements and corporate guidelines pertaining to interactions with and exchanges of value for HCP’s. Ensuring healthcare compliance through lifecycle of meetings managed.
- Sharing best practices and demonstrating continued dedication to improving processes.
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to both corporate and Global Medical Sciences (GMS) operations, principles, and values.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

- Highly proficient bi-lingual oral and written communication skills in English and French and familiarity with European culture

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

- Degree level or higher qualification in Hospitality Management/Business Management, or related field
- Work experience with direct coordination of healthcare related or medical education Speaker program management
- Experience with professional event management software/systems [Cvent, etc.]
- Basic knowledge of and experience with Health Care Compliance practices pertaining to interactions with Healthcare Professionals within EMEA and specific to the West Mediterranean Region
- Interpersonal skills, sharp attention to detail with a focus on quality, ability to collaborate with multiple people and manage concurrent events and projects in a fast-paced environment

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic and international
