Accountant – Canonical Canonical is a global leader in open source software, and our finance team is expanding as we prepare for a public market launch. We are looking for an experienced Accountant with IFRS expertise to help us deliver accurate reporting and support our IPO strategy. Location This role may be office‑based in London or remote within EMEA time zones. Responsibilities Assist in the month‑end reporting process to deliver timely and accurate information Own a part of the ledger processes relevant to your strengths Support the year‑end audit process and statutory reporting Contribute to the finance team’s plans for the IPO, improving efficiency and ensuring compliance Share knowledge with team members to provide cover when needed Actively develop your skills to maintain current knowledge of applicable standards and regulations Build strong relationships with key colleagues outside the finance team Qualifications Exceptional academic track record and subsequent career performance Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CPA, etc.) Experience at a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate accounting department preferred Experience with NetSuite or similar enterprise‑grade systems Willingness to travel up to four times per year Benefits Distributed work environment with twice‑yearly in‑person team sprints Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year Annual compensation review Recognition rewards Paid holiday leave and parental leave Employee Assistance Program & Wellness Platform Opportunities to travel to new locations to meet colleagues Priority Pass and travel upgrades for long‑haul company events Equal Opportunity Employer Canonical is an equal‑opportunity employer.
