We are looking for a skilled NetOps – Network engineer to join the LCH SA Infrastructure & Cloud Team that provides technical resources to Post Trade Business Services (a division of LSEG). Your role is vital in designing, deploying, and maintaining resilient, scalable, and highly available systems. Collaboration with infrastructure teams, operations, and partners will be crucial in ensuring efficient performance and availability of our critical environments.Key Responsibilities And AccountabilitiesImplements, tunes, and conducts ongoing administration of infrastructure layer, including proposing application systems changes, better uses and improvementsImproves the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinementLeads support services before they launch through activities such as system design consulting, developing features of the infrastructure platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviewsProvides mentorship to other team members on handling availability and performance of critical services, on building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and on building automated responses for non-exceptional service conditionsMaintains services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system healthLeads sustainable and efficient incident responseScales systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, evolving systems by advocating for changes that improve reliability and velocityWrites highly optimised and accurate code for LCH SA and LSEG products and solutionsProactively builds and applies relevant domain knowledge that may relate to workflows, data pipelines, business policies, configurations and constraintsSupports essential processes while ensuring high quality standards are metWhat You'll Be DoingAssess, plan, design, and implement the network infrastructure (DH/DNS/IPAM, Firewalls, Network, Load balancers, Time protocol, DNS, proxy) as highly available and scalable solutions to support critical applications and servicesCapacity planning and troubleshooting of network applications, products, infrastructure, and servicesMonitoring and observability of network applications, products, infrastructureSource code management and developmentLeverage testing environments using industry practices for pre-testing changes and proof of conceptSolve customer networking issues across the network (cloud & on-premises networks)On-call rotation shiftsYou'll BringBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience (at least 5 years) as a Network Engineer, SRE or similar role, with a focus on managing and maintaining Network infrastructure in regulated and or highly available environmentExperience with planning and designing large scale networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products)Experience with VMware, Cisco Switches, Network Security and Knowledge in many of the following Cloud Networking technologies: IS-IS, VXLAN, BGP, EVPN, Network Virtualization (at least 5 years)Experience on VMware technology (at least 2 years)Expertise in cloud AWS, Azure, Google technologies will be a plus (at least 3 years)Expertise (at least 3 years) in scripting languages (Python, Bash), and on automation/configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageousExperience on operating in a regulated environment with specific security constraints (at least 2 years)Experience on Systems Monitoring and Capacity Management (at least 5 years)Adheres to applicable risk control frameworks, policies and proceduresAbout LSEGLSEG’s vision is to be the most trusted authority in global financial markets.
