Job Title Design Transfer Project Leader - IGS Sourcing - Chef de projet Design Transfer H/F Company GE HealthCare Overview Our sourcing team is seeking a Design Transfer Project Leader to drive cost productivity for IGS products through supplier collaboration, dual sourcing, and strategic transfers. This role will partner with cross‑functional teams to unlock savings across our installed base and requires technical expertise to execute strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring continuity, cost optimization, and supply chain resilience for legacy product portfolios. Key Responsibilities Identify cost‑saving projects through process optimization, Lean principles, dual sourcing, transfers, Tier 2 supplier changes, improved cost transparency, DfX, and close collaboration with engineering. Lead planning, pre‑work, business‑case creation and project prioritisation. Serve as focal point in front of suppliers, representing engineering and sourcing in technical and commercial discussions. Lead technical discussions and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transition (PIPO) of manufacturing activities across supplier sites. Manage risks during supplier transfers and identify resolution actions. Enhance implementation of equivalent parts as a dual‑sourcing opportunity between IGS Buc and Beijing sites. Partner with cross‑functional teams internally: engineering, supply quality, AME, operations, sourcing, supplier capability. Drive design‑strategy discussions – engineering change requests (ECR). Lead execution of Disruptive Cost Workouts (DCW) with suppliers, taking end‑to‑end ownership from pre‑work to variable cost productivity (VCP) realization. Travel Travel up to 25 % to supplier sites and GEHC IGS locations (France and China). Basic Qualifications Master’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field. Significant experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment. Experience in general manufacturing processes: fabrication, plastics, EMSi, mechanical. Experience in high‑tech low‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing environment. Autonomy to drive technical discussions. Excellent program management, communication, and leadership skills.
