Position: Procurement and Supply Chain Responsible
Project: Nuclear Fusion reactor - ITER, META TCC2
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement services to ensure timely availability of items that meet performance requirements
- Lead all procurement activities (Purchasing, Expediting, Inspection, Logistics) and Supply Chain activities (Supply Chain Management, Lean Manufacturing Implementation, Process Improvement)
- Prepare progress report documentation
- Define strategies for contractual and commercial management of contracts
- Manage project procurement activities and coordinate the Supply Chain Division
- Develop procurement plans, strategies, instructions, procedures, and standard documents
- Interface with the Project Team and coordinate with the client
- Support procurement of investment equipment, technical services subcontracts, spare parts, and logistics
- Follow up on procurement activities, including purchasing, expediting, inspection, and logistics
- Manage contractual and commercial aspects of contracts
- Handle all phases of purchasing, from inquiry to close-out, including bid evaluation and negotiation
- Proactively expedite delivery schedules and coordinate factory acceptance tests and installation
- Coordinate with Inspection and Construction teams for workshop visits, material receipt, and resolving issues
- Qualify subcontractors and manage logistics, including shipping, customs, and permits
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, manage tender processes, and negotiate contracts
- Oversee subcontractor progress, conduct FAT and SAT, and manage purchase order variations
- Coordinate documentation, including final dossiers, invoices, and delivery notes
- Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities adhere to project schedules and requirements
Education:
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a similar role, preferably in large international engineering projects
Languages:
English (fluent, B2), Spanish and/or French are a plus
Location:
Cadarache, near Aix-en-Provence, France, with some travel as required
