Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts

Setting up the Legal Department of the Company, our Head of Legal is hiring a “Legal counsel – Commercial Contracts”. Job Description The “Legal Counsel – commercial contracts” will prepare, review and negotiate both simple and complex contracts with domestic and international partners, such as Non-disclosure Agreements, Letter of Intent, Purchasing, Digital Services Agreements, Direct Sales Customer Contracts, and other types of contractual documents. Moreover, the Legal Counsel will : Provide guidance and direction with respect to regulatory developments; establish resolution strategies and lead, oversee or personally execute on such strategies in cooperation with different stakeholders; Act as a business partner vis a vis peers and management both within the legal function and other areas of the Company, providing legal advice and support, anticipating and managing legal risks associated with the business strategy and operations. Ensure claims and disputes are handled in such a way that minimizes risks and is cost effective. Provide internal training on legal and compliance issues; Ensure monitoring and contract governance activities; Reporting lines and interactions Reports hierarchically to Head of Legal, and functionally to the Legal Contract Manager Internal key interactions : All functions / departments External key interactions : Clients, partners, suppliers, external law firms. Qualifications French Law Degree (possibly completed abroad); Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in either a law firm or in a company of the industrial sector. Experience in Automotive industry is a plus. Ability to communicate complex issues both verbally and in writing; able to liaise and influence at all levels and across different areas of business. Results orientated and pragmatic approach, with the ability to see the broader picture; autonomous in day-to-day tasks; "business" and strategic mindset and highly skilled at finding resolution to and drafting to minimize risk while forward business goals. Fluent in both French and English.
