PowerShell Scripting and Automation SpecialistAbout the job PowerShell Scripting and Automation SpecialistPowerShell Scripting and Automation SpecialistPosition OverviewWe are seeking a PowerShell Scripting and Automation Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain automated solutions across our Microsoft technology stack, streamlining IT operations and enhancing system efficiency through advanced scripting and automation frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesPowerShell DevelopmentDesign and develop complex PowerShell scripts for system administration and automation tasksCreate PowerShell modules, functions, and reusable code libraries for enterprise useBuild advanced scripts for Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and Azure managementDevelop PowerShell DSC configurations for desired state managementImplement error handling, logging, and robust script validation mechanismsAutomation & OrchestrationAutomate routine IT tasks including user provisioning, system maintenance, and reportingCreate scheduled automation workflows using Task Scheduler and PowerShell jobsDevelop automated deployment scripts for applications and system configurationsBuild monitoring and alerting scripts for proactive system managementImplement automated backup, recovery, and disaster recovery proceduresIntegration & APIsIntegrate PowerShell scripts with REST APIs, web services, and Microsoft GraphDevelop automation solutions for Office 365, Azure, and hybrid environmentsCreate scripts for data extraction, transformation, and reporting from various systemsBuild automated workflows connecting multiple enterprise applicationsImplement secure authentication and credential management in automated processesDocumentation & SupportCreate comprehensive documentation for all automation solutions and scriptsProvide training and knowledge transfer to IT teams on PowerShell best practicesTroubleshoot and optimize existing automation scripts for performance improvementsEstablish coding standards and version control practices for script developmentRequired QualificationsTechnical Skills6+ years experience in PowerShell scripting and automation developmentExpert knowledge of PowerShell 5.1 and PowerShell Core/7+ environmentsStrong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologiesProficiency in REST API integration and Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDKKnowledge of PowerShell DSC, workflows, and advanced scripting techniquesExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development practicesAutomation SkillsProven ability to analyze manual processes and develop automated solutionsExperience with scheduling systems, job management, and workflow orchestrationKnowledge of security best practices for automation and credential managementUnderstanding of ITIL processes and change management proceduresPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fieldMicrosoft certifications (Azure Administrator, PowerShell scripting certifications)Experience with Azure PowerShell, Exchange Management Shell, and SharePoint PowerShellKnowledge of additional scripting languages (Python, Bash) and DevOps practicesBackground in infrastructure as code and configuration management tools #J-18808-Ljbffr
