We are currently seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the development of world-class products that deliver both safety and performance.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) for automotive electric brake applications from concept phase through serial production.
  • Define motor specifications and collaborate with suppliers to define architecture and technical solutions to achieve performance, efficiency, durability, packaging, safety, and cost objectives.
  • Collaborate with system, electronics, software and mechanical teams to optimize motor-actuator integration and perform system and sub-system simulations.
  • Lead design reviews, including DFMEA activities, perform necessary technical justifications and drive Design for Manufacturing (DfM), for assembly (DfA) and reliability (DfR) initiatives.
  • Support prototype builds, pilot production, and industrialization activities by resolving design, manufacturing, and assembly issues.
  • Define and support component and system validation plans and investigate test failures and field issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, design records, validation reports, change management and core knowledge documentation.

Profile and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in electric motor development within the automotive industry or similar high-volume industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in the design and development of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM), preferably for automotive applications with safety-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of motor sizing, performance optimization and thermal management techniques.
  • Strong understanding of motor design and position sensing technologies.
  • Experience with motor performance simulation, validation, characterization and manufacturing.
  • Good understanding of automotive development standards and processes and knowledge on safety-critical product development are highly desirable.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English

Salary : 50-60k€
