We are seeking a dedicated Green Space Caretaker to maintain and enhance public parks, gardens, and other green areas. This role is essential for keeping outdoor spaces clean, healthy, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping, plant care, and groundskeeping while being passionate about environmental conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, trees, flowers, and shrubs through regular watering, pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and landscaping equipment.
- Monitor the health of plants and apply pest control measures when necessary.
- Collect and dispose of fallen leaves, branches, and litter to keep public spaces clean.
- Assist in planting new trees, flowers, and grass to enhance green areas.
- Repair and maintain walkways, benches, and other outdoor structures.
- Follow environmental guidelines and safety procedures for plant care and waste disposal.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- Experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance is a plus.
- Knowledge of plant care, soil conditions, and pest control methods.
- Ability to use and maintain landscaping tools and machinery.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of environmental sustainability and green space conservation.
