Overview Location: Fully remote (EMEA timezone) Start date: ASAP Languages: Fluent English required Industry: Cloud Computing / AI / European Deep-Tech SaaS About The Role Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a European deep-tech company building a sovereign, energy-efficient cloud platform for modern AI and high-performance workloads. The company operates a distributed, highly automated infrastructure and is scaling rapidly across a multi-entity, international footprint. As part of this growth, building an AI-native finance organization is a strategic priority. We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to own and scale group accounting, consolidation, reporting, and controls across multiple legal entities. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a finance professional capable of structuring, automating, and modernizing accounting operations in a deep-tech environment. Strong, proven experience leveraging AI in accounting workflows is mandatory. This role is not about maintaining legacy processes, but about designing and operating an AI-first accounting function. Your Responsibilities Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual group close and consolidation processes across all entities. Deliver accurate management accounts, as well as board and investor reporting. Ensure IFRS and local GAAP compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Define, document, and enforce group accounting policies and internal controls. Lead, optimize, and scale the NetSuite ERP across the group (NetSuite experience is mandatory). Drive automation and AI adoption in accounting operations, including reconciliations, anomaly detection, journal automation, and close acceleration. Manage audits, statutory filings, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing processes. Partner closely with the CFO on strategic initiatives, scaling efforts, and financial governance. Build robust, scalable accounting infrastructure suited to a high-growth, deep-tech organization. Required Qualifications 8–12+ years of experience in accounting, financial control, or similar senior finance roles. Strong experience operating in multi-entity, international environments. Background in SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or deep-tech companies. Expert-level NetSuite experience (+++). Hands-on experience implementing AI tools in accounting workflows (mandatory). Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP, with solid consolidation expertise. Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). Proven ability to build finance infrastructure and processes from the ground up. Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with high ownership. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting rapid international expansion or group restructuring. Exposure to automation-first or data-driven finance organizations. Prior involvement in audit transformation or finance system implementations at scale. Strong stakeholder management skills with executive leadership and investors.
