About the Company Dioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency. By displacing fossil fuels for the production of key chemicals, we have the potential to ultimately reduce over 800 million tons of CO₂ per year, representing over 2% of the world's emissions. At the core of our process is a novel "carbon electrolyzer", a machine capable of using just electricity and water to convert carbon emissions back into valuable everyday essential chemicals. Our team is innovating across chemical, mechanical and system engineering to turn carbon transformation into an economically feasible, industrial reality. Having completed our medium‑scale proof‑of‑concept electrolyzer, we are now working towards a first‑of‑its‑kind large‑scale industrial prototype and are assembling key partnerships for future commercial roll‑out. We operate from two centers in Paris and California and are supported by world‑class funders including Lowercarbon Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Gigascale Capital, raising $37M to date. Role Overview Dioxycle is seeking a highly talented and driven Head of Business Development to join our team at this pivotal phase of transition from in‑house prototyping to commercial demonstration and roll‑out. Partnering with the CEO, engineering and strategy teams, you will lead commercial partnership development efforts with consumer‑facing ('downstream') partners. Responsibilities Conduct customer discovery to best understand customer needs and priorities. Contribute to refining the go‑to‑market strategy based on internal business intelligence and external customer engagement. Spearhead the development of new commercial partnerships and negotiate agreements with key consumer brands, positioning Dioxycle as a trusted provider of sustainable materials and an industry‑defining brand. Work hand‑in‑hand with legal counsel and the finance team to build creative commercial agreements. Participate in trade shows and events to develop key relationships with targeted customers and relevant industry organizations. Deliver clear, concise and timely updates to all stakeholders, emphasizing project milestones, sustainability achievements and strategic insights for ongoing improvement. Qualifications Minimum seven years of relevant experience in business development or a related field. Proven ability to build and deliver engaging pitches that construct coherent and compelling narratives. Exceptional charisma and relationship‑building skills. Experience building commercial traction for a novel technology or product in a consumer‑facing market is a big plus (but not required). Strong curiosity and drive to self‑teach and learn technical ins‑and‑outs of the materials space. Deep understanding and interest in decarbonization and the materials sector.
